No Prep Veneers

How Do No Prep Veneers Work?

Veneers are porcelain covers that are attached to the surface of your teeth. No Prep Veneers can help with gaps or spacing issues, stained, uneven, or chipped teeth. This type of veneer allows patients to change their smile, and conserve their tooth’s enamel. No Prep Veneers have some advantages, and can be placed in two visits to our office. This type of veneer is thinner than porcelain veneers, and does not require the removal of the tooth underneath to fit the veneer onto the tooth.

No prep veneers are reversible, and can be removed if patients decide in the future they no longer want them. No Prep Veneers look natural and reflect light similar to how our natural teeth do, giving patients a beautiful white smile. This type of veneer is very durable, and can last up to 20 years.

At Designing Beautiful Smiles we want our patients to feel confident about their smile. Our team provides patients with all of their options during our consultation process, and helps each patient decide which cosmetic treatment is best.

What To Expect During The Process For No Prep Veneers

The process for no prep veneers is a lot easier compared to porcelain veneers. No prep veneers require two visits to our office. During the first visit an impression will be taken of your teeth, and this is sent to an authorized veneers laboratory. Once the veneers are ready, patients return to our office to have them placed. We have all patients try the veneers on to ensure they are properly fit and feel comfortable.

Each tooth is then etched slightly to prep for the veneers. This process is not invasive, and only requires our doctor to file down minimal amounts of your teeth. Not having to grind teeth down like with other options helps with sensitivity in the future.

Once the teeth are prepared, we will place the veneers individually on your teeth and ensure they feel comfortable. We also check each patient’s bite to ensure the veneers are placed perfectly to avoid chipping or damage.

How To Care For No Prep Veneers

Caring for your no prep veneers is similar to caring or your natural teeth. Following a good oral hygiene routine at home with brushing and flossing is important to keep your veneers looking and feeling great. No prep veneers are highly durable, but we do recommend patients be careful, and avoid chewing any hard or chewy foods. These types of foods can damage or chip the veneers.

Choosing which cosmetic solution works best for you is important. No prep veneers helps patients to achieve that bright white smile quickly, and is less invasive compared to other options. If you have stained, chipped, or uneven teeth, and want a quick solution, no prep veneers may be right for you.
